About Us

Having grown up on a farm in the Cotswolds with the luxury of good home cooking everyday, it is not surprising to see where Robin’s passion for food has come from.

This passion resulted in Robin completing a course at Leith’s Cookery School in London, before getting a job working in the kitchen at the Kings Arms in Stow-on-the-Wold under the head chef, Peter Robinson (previously head chef of Bibendum, London and Tresanton Hotel, Cornwall):

I employed Robin back in 2002 where he quickly became a valuable member of my kitchen. He is a quick learner, who thrived off working in a pressure environment to the highest standards. I was sorry to see him leave and will watch his catering business with interest

Having gained the skills needed to prepare and cook food to a high standard, Robin wanted to learn more about quality produce and the importance of local ingredients. He did this by becoming the manager of the very successful and award winning farm shop at Longborough.

Finally after 18 months of this Robin was ready to start his own event catering business…..

‘Recipe for Success’ has now been in business for 5 successful years. We have a highly motivated team that are passionate about food, cooking and the land around us. Since April 2006, Recipe for Success has been based at Far Peak, just outside Northleach. You can see where we are on the map below.
